About Bradford

I've been an entrepreneur since I was nine years old. I built Barbie doll canopy beds and asked my mom to teach me to knit so I could make Barbie mittens that her friend would sell at craft shows (I earned $.05 a pair of mittens). I graduated to lemon-aid stands, a lawn care business, breeding and selling tropical fish and tying fly-fishing lures that I sold to sporting goods stores up through high school.
For eleven years after college I worked with professors and university students helping them develop their relational, communication and leadership skills as well as mentoring them in building a solid personal development program. During graduate school I worked for a financial sales company, and eventually opened and ran a branch office for four years in Michigan.
I have enjoyed a thriving individual and marriage counseling practice for the past 19 years. I added a consulting and coaching business seven years ago. I also facilitate personal development and training workshops utilizing DiSC profiles with corporations and non-profit organizations.
For the last ten years I have commuted 80 miles (round trip) to attend and help provide leadership to a church in Ann Arbor, MI . Shekinah Christian Church is a racially diverse community that is committed to removing the "artificial walls" between races, genders and ages. We have over 16 nationalities represented, with 40% being African-American, and are proud when visitors comment that we are "color-blind".
My passion is to help individuals, families and corporations identify and operate in their core strengths and passion so they can unlock and joyfully fulfill their destiny. I love life, learning and laughing. I am an avid reader, love all things water (swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, fly fishing), photography and woodworking. I live in Jackson, Michigan with my wife of 30 years and our 3 year old Golden Retriever (Soon to be moving to Ann Arbor-Dexter area)
I finished a Masters Degree in Biblical Counseling while studying under Drs. Larry Crabb and Dan Allender in 1988. I received my coaching training at the Thomas Leonard Coaching School with Coachville and later became a member of the Graduate School of Coaching in 2003.
